iCommunicate’s strategies are simple:
We build for a minimum of two environments – one populated by humans, and the more hidden other which is examined and indexed by computers employed by search engines. For a site to be user friendly with an ability to be found, both have to be honoured!
“Always design a thing by considering it in its next larger context – a chair in a room, a room in a house, a house in an environment, an environment in a city plan.”
–Eliel Saarinen, in Time magazine, July 2, 1956

The efficient gaining of self knowledge from the web comes down to three simple rules that we’ve found to be very sound, and the relationship between them :
- “Content is King” [relative content - textual and sometimes pictorial]
- “Navigation” [no point in having great content if it can't be easily found!]
- ‘The look” [the graphics, logo, colour, branding etc.]
It’s been our experience that many sites are designed with the above points in the reverse order, or worse yet, unrelated!
It may help any business considering us as the developers to understand that we offer one simple piece of advice:
“To be successful and effective a web site has to mirror the essence of the business plan.”
Currently it’s never been easier to build a web site, but a good one ever increasingly demands attention to detail.

It’s this simple!
